ONE SON - Hip-Hop Artist

ONE SON, was born in Alabama and moved to Brooklyn N.Y. at the age of seventeen to pursue a music career. After playing semi pro football for the Brooklyn Chargers he endured hard times which led him into enlisting in the US Army. The Army enabled him to live in various places such as Missouri, Virginia, Seattle, Atlanta, and Fort Worth Texas. That gave him a four-corner outlook on how people live in different areas and helped him to incorporate this into his music. While in Texas he met individuals who shared the same passion for music like himself and went onto release three underground CD's. He has opened up for numerous well known artist such as Common, Erykah Badu, Hieroglyphics, Craig Mack, Outkast, De La Soul, Field Mob, The Grave Diggers, Killa Mike, Public Enemy, and Blackstreet. While performing in Austin, Texas he was discovered by Maxine Lewis who was the segment producer for the Amateur Night At The Apollo. She liked his performance and invited him to perform at The Apollo Theater. He received a standing ovation and since has appeared in three independent films Dirty South, Riff, and Almost Times. His lastest release is called A POOR MAN'S TESTIMONY which features the single HEAR MY CRY. The video aired on BET Uncut in July 2003, and has also aired on various independent video shows in Alabama, Atlanta, and Dallas.
